Development of the first NHS Skincare range
In 2014 I led the development of the first skincare range for the National Health service - My Trusty. The products have won national awards in the beauty and pharmacy sector. The brand was featured on the BBC One Show and I was interviewed on developing the brand. The feel good factor with the range is all profits go back into the NHS to support patient care.
My vision for My Trusty was for it to mirror the values of the NHS and be a safe natural range for all the family, tested by our own staff. In 2014, I was recognised by the Hospital Service Journal for this pioneering work and listed as a top 50 innovator in health and social care.
The My Trusty body butter and face and body oil were developed from my knowledge and experience as a clinician and aromatherapist. The new products moved the brand into the ethical beauty sector and gained additional awards. The oil was listed as a top 50 ethical beauty product by The Guardian 2017. The brand is available worldwide and can be found in Tesco, Superdrugs, Lloyds Pharmacy, online, hospitals and independent retailers in the UK.
The experience of developing the brand, individual products, marketing, research and intellectual property have given me unique insight. This specialist knowledge and connections would be indespensible for anyone wishing to develop their own beauty brand. If you are interested let's start a conversation to see how I can support you.
